Her Birthday Story
August 21, declared as Ninoy Aquino's day is also my grandma's birthdate as written in her birth certificate. Her real birthday was July 21 of Spanish regime. According to her during the Spanish time a newly born child should be baptized before it reach his/her first month or they must pay a penalty for succeeding month until the baby's baptism. As her story goes, after she was born they only have enough money for their needs and can't afford to pay the priest until the copras had been sold. So her parents waited until her 2nd month before she was brought to the parish to be baptized and registered her birth month as August instead of July so that they will not pay the penalty. Its been 2 years and 8 months since she left and went to rest forever and yet I can still remember her stories of her childhood. Those funny jokes and their love story. Her favorite teacher and favorite poem. The sweet humming of her favorite bicolano songs. Her loving forehead kiss and warm embrace.

Benefits of Honey
Why honey?
The sticky sweet stuff of bees isn't just something to add a little flavor to your tea-- it's nature's very own elixir for a much healthier life-- one that you and I undoubtedly do not have. So, the next time you decide to swat a bee, take some time to appreciate the little stinger and all its hard work!
1. Honey can make you younger! Or at least look it.
If a trip to Belo is out of the question, then honey is your answer! Why botox the wrinkles out of your face when a little honey can do the trick? Honey contains antioxidants, which basically reverse aging by neutralizing the free radicals our body releases during oxidation.
If that's too complicated, think of it this way: free radicals can damage our body, but honey and its antioxidants clean up all these icky radicals, and heal the body in so many ways. The darker the honey, the more antioxidants it contains.
2. Honey can make you sexy
Honey is goes down easily, and for people with digestive problems, this is one medicine you definitely won't mind having spoonfulls of! Although it contains more calories than table sugar, it eases the digestive system by breaking down energy calories faster-- so, you get twice the amount of energy, and twice the amount of power to burn it all out!
Diarrhea and stomach flu are common ailments, and honey's antibacterial and moisture-retaining properties help flush out all the bad stuff that's been plaguing you.
3. Honey makes your immune system mighty
Honey is a natural Red Bull, and asides from providing energy when you need it most, it also helps strengthen the immune system by shielding it against bacteria that can cause colds and flu. Cought and sore throats can also be easily cured with some warm honey and calamansi or lemon, because its antimicrobial properties kill the germs breeding in your mouth while soothing the irritated area at the same time.
4. Honey is nature's bandaid
Honey is a natural antiseptic. Looking for that tiny green bottle of Betadine? Forget it! Apply a little warm honey on a cut, wound, or burn and the antimicrobial agents in it will prevent infections and promote skin growth. Bacteria doesn't survive in honey, so you'll be far away from gangrene if you've got a little pot of the sweet stuff lying around!
5. Honey makes your skin glow and your hair shine
Honey has the incredible ability of trapping in moisture, one thing we definitely need if dull hair and skin are a problem! Asides from healing the body from the inside, the moisture that honey attracts feeds our skin cells and promotes tissue growth. Using it as a facial mask or a hair conditioner is like providing yourself with a boost of nutrients that can help restore and heal drying areas. A little honey every day will make you bloom in no time!

quiets the heart, clears the vision, strengthens faith and makes things happen"~
God has arranged events and placed people in our lives for a reason.
In the same way, we have been appointed to be part of someones's life for a reason as well.
Let's make that reason count because for every life we touch, we are gaining treasures for our own."~
"God's richest blessings,

Meditation is when you listen to God,
Contemplation is when you are intimate with God.
Take time for Him who loved us first."~
When we live according to the standards of the world:
Success. Money. power. Beauty and Prestige.
We live in fear for all these can be lost.
But
To live in faith with a peaceful heart is much more than them."~
The tongue weighs practically nothing, but few can hold it.

Kind words make good echoes.
Sweet words leaves sweet thought."~

A person who has deep faith in God can survive any problem that may come along the way."~
"To fail means you've tried.
To hurt means you've loved. and
To survived means you've learned.
All is meant to be well in the end."~
As we breath right now... others take their last. So appreciate your life.
Never mind what you don't have, start living for what you have.
Let's thank god for entrusting another day to our borrowed life.
Indeed, there's so much to be thankful for today."~
"It is when our hearts continue to burn with love that others are saved from dying of the cold."~
"Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when ther's nothing left to take away.
Perfection lies not in impeccability but in surrender to the Mercy of God."~
"Wisdom is oftentimes acquired when we stumble, not when we succeed.
Our defeats leave us wiser than our triumph,
By faith we live,
By love we serve,
By patience we understand,
By trials we gain wisdom,
By sharing we give joy."~
"The world may define surrender as losing bu God defines surrender as victory.
It is only when we surrender our problems, worries and doubts to God
That we allow and give him the power to intervene."~

Day 6: A Day of Nothingness
I just feel nothing today. The whole day passed just like a leaf floating on a dry air.

Day 3: The Title
Today is a great day!
why?-------because I made it to my DAY 3!!! :))
I can say that today is also a memorable one for the family. Finally, I got to take hold the documents of the only family owned property. After a lot of financial difficulties I've been through to save it from being held by Phillippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC). At the end of this day, I went out from their building with a big smile on my face. I finally can take this load off my mind. I have already in my hands all the documents.
I want to thank the Lord God Almighty for guiding me to finish this without too much impediments. Also Sir Michael V. de los Santos and Ma'am Marlyn S. Datu who patiently answer my queries and keep me updated and informed.

Day 2 : Twin Cousin's Birthday
I'm back on my 2nd day! My sister arrived from Sorsogon City today. She came to join our twin cousins' birthday. It was one of most memorable events in their lives because it was 8 years that they've never seen each other since the Kuya Jeff left for Alaska to stay there with his wife and kids.
My super charming sister came here to see them. She was their pet little sister. She was "temporarily adopted" by the family a year after graduating in grade school to give way for my high school studies.
And so after so many years of being oceans apart they were together to celebrate their birthday together. Foods, wine and beers filled the day. It was so much fun!
I feel so happy too, coz they are my extended family :)

Today is the Beginning
Today, I want to start an everyday blogging event :) for the month of October. I'm going to publish my day to day activities till the end of October. (I wish myself luck) :))
October 1: I was up early to attend the opening day of Provincial Sportfest. I was assigned as one of the officials in GYMNASTICS. But it was postponed due to bad weather condition brought by the typhoon Quiel. So, I just went to a mall nearby to buy groceries.
Later this afternoon, I went to visit my cousin and my little pamangkins. I just got a pleasant surprise because one of my twin cousin was there! He went home from Alaska to spend his birthday with his twin brother. And so tonight, we're gonna start the celebration.
CHEERS! ( pinking glasses)

Stormy Food Trip
Philippines is sitting astride the typhoon belt, most of the islands experience annual torrential rains and thunderstorms from July to October, with nineteen typhoons entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in a typical year and eight or nine making landfall. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippines#Climate)
Today is one of those stormy days. It's a sad and happy day for me, sad because I know a lot of my "kababayans" would suffer from this adverse weather condition. Somehow I feel happy because it's my chance to relax and enjoy the day without stressing myself from school works and noisy pupils :). Though I feel guilty for feeling this way too, I just can't help it.
Being alone in a stormy weather and resting the whole day won't be complete without a food :).. so I dig my food cabinet and found this: a can of sausage and corned beef and a packed of spaghetti noodles. What else should I prepare?? I just need an spaghetti sauce, spices/herbs and presto!
Downstairs my landlady has a "Sari-Sari Store" (variety store). Wishing myself lucky, I got what I need SPAGHETTI SAUCE. I just followed a simple procedure from http://www.kitchenomics.com/ and here it is!
